One Project Down, One More in the Works
Sometimes when I'm working on a writing project, I get ideas for other stories -- which I like to call "plot bunnies" -- in my head. This was recently the case, but for once, the idea didn't "hop on by" until after I finished the one I was working on.
The charity anthology project contribution I had been writing the first draft to since late April was completed last weekend. The story is now with my editor, and I will take their recommendations in hopes I can get the final files compiled before the late June submission deadline, so we'll be able to release in early July. I'm excited to tell the tale of Maria and José, and I hope you will enjoy it, as well as, the other stories written by my compatriots.
The new story idea I plan to work on is one I had tinkered with the notion of a while back, but now it's coming back into my conscious thoughts. The goal for this new project is to have it released in time for mid-May 2021. I just have to get through my current summer class first, which will end in late June; then, I will attempt to utilize my spare time in July to at least get a start on this revisited project.
That's all from my mind right now. To my American readers and followers, I wish you all a Happy Memorial Day weekend. Until next time, happy reading, and stay safe in these crazy times.
