STANZA SUNDAY: Logging-in From Afar

One relief I have about the Internet

Is it allows me the opportunity

To converse with a few of my friends

From my old home base.

There is an online chatroom

Some of them frequent

Discussing their lives and their craft

In the off-season from the insanity.

The activity in there has slowed

Since November has come and gone

But, a handful of regulars still appear

To hang out and talk.

They still have weekly get-togethers

On Friday nights at a coffee shop

I used to attend sporadically

For fun and shenanigans.

I miss such merriment

As I am many miles away

The chatroom is my only outlet

To my comrades back in Canada.
